Dear Seven Sisters Trail Runners (past and future),
We write to share with you the news that the Seven Sisters Trail Race Committee has announced that if trail races are allowed to take place as part of the Massachusetts reopening plan, the 30th Seven Sisters Trail Race will take place in October 2021 (date TBD if/when we know more and get approval!)
The Race Committee will continue to work with local, city, state, and public health officials to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, spectators, and community members. Field size, registration dates (i.e. intent to participate from 2020 registered runners), safety measures, and protocols will be announced as we know, and as safety protocols dictate. If the race does take place, please understand that it might look completely different in order to ensure safety for all.
We understand that this announcement comes with many questions – know that the answer to all of them is ‘We don’t know at this time’. I will say that again, since some folks need to hear things twice – you likely have questions, and we don’t have answers at this time, as there is still so much up in the air. We appreciate your patience as we all work through this situation together, and we will communicate as we know more..
We encourage you to stay active, get out on the trails, and please be safe! We sincerely hope to see many of you on the trails in the near future.
