2022 Registration Update

After a few tough years, the Seven Sisters Trail Race is set to return on May 7, 2022 for it’s 30th running! We are thrilled to be able to host the race again, and can’t wait to see runners on the course this spring!

Because the pandemic forced us to cancel the past two races after registration took place for the 2020 race, we had to modify the registration process for the 2022 event.  We’ll say from the start that trying to figure out the fairest way to do this was a challenge, and we had many conversations about what makes the most sense, all things considered.  Below is a summary of the timeline and process.

December 15, 2021 to January 3, 2022

Runners who were on the 2020 start list at the time of cancellation will have the opportunity to claim a spot in the 2022 Seven Sisters Race. The timeline is very important here: 2020 runners who do not register by January 3rd will forfeit their race entry. These runners will receive an email by December 14th with instructions for how to register and claim their spots in the 2022 Seven Sisters Trail Race.  Registration fees for those signed up in 2020 will be carried over into the 2022 event.

January 8, 2022 – 1pm

Registration will open for any remaining spots in the race on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Once registration has filled, runners may join the waitlist.

FAQ

What about the 2020 waitlisted runners?

We know this will be disappointing to some of our runners, but we regret to say that we are unable to keep the 2020 waitlist.  2020 waitlisted runners are welcome to register on January 8th, of course, along with anyone else interested in participating in the 2022 Seven Sisters Trail Race.

What if I was on the start list in 2020 and can’t run in 2022?

We are sorry to hear that you can’t join us in 2022!  Unfortunately, we are not able to process any refunds of 2020 race entry fees.  Our race is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Mount Holyoke Range, who work to protect and preserve land within the Holyoke Range (including the Seven Sisters Trail!).  Due to COVID, and the cancellation of numerous events such as ours, they have not had much income to do their good work.  Please consider your entry fee to be a donation to the Friends of the Mount Holyoke Range and their efforts.

You may also choose to use your 2020 Seven Sisters Race entry fee as credit towards any other 2022 Beast Coast Trail Running event.

I can’t recall if I was on the 2020 Seven Sisters start list or not, can you help?

Sure, a copy of the 2020 Seven Sisters start list is posted here.

What COVID procedures will you be following?

The safety protocols are rapidly changing, so it’s not possible to know what safety protocols will be in place next May.  However, we are constantly in touch with public health professionals and will follow whatever federal, state, and local guidelines are applicable at the time of the race.  These safety procedures will be communicated with participants and volunteers as the race approaches.
